Job Description:
The Mechanic performs rotating equipment disassembly/assembly, basic equipment maintenance, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, rewinds on AC/DC motors, and field installation of equipment.
Candidate should be capable of performing all of the mentioned tasks unsupervised.
Essential Job Functions Rotating Equipment assembly/disassembly Ability to push/pull pumps and motors in the field Ability to inspect rotating equipment and parts for damage and diagnose possible reason(s) for failure Ability to document findings during assembly/disassembly Ability to remove and install seals/packing Rewind electric motors, stators and armatures Ability to perform equipment alignments Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance Understanding of pump and motor design and operation Understanding of mechanical seal designs and uses Provide recommendations to improve the reliability of equipment Requirements 5-10 years of experience The capability of using and reading precision measuring devices, such as micrometers and calipers Ability to lift up to 75 pounds frequently The capability of wearing personal protection equipment, including a respirator Ability to work outdoors and possibly in inclement weather Ability to work overtime hours - after 5:

, weekends, and holidays when necessary Ability to be on-call when required Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks Experience working on centrifugal, positive displacement and multi-stage pumps Experience working on AC/DC motors Fundamental understanding of rotating equipment, fabrication/manufacturing of equipment and machine shop practices Ability to identify and resolve problems in a constructive and timely manner Show competency at filling in paperwork and communicating effectively, and understanding exploded diagrams or cross-sectional drawings Good communication skills with others by telephone, written documents or in person Ability to interact with customers and co-workers in a pleasant and professional manner Ability to easily operate a computer, specifically Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word At OTC Industrial Technologies, we believe that our employees are our greatest strength.

Salary:
