The General Laborer - Aggregates will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the mine site operating tools and equipment.
The General Laborer is a full-time, seasonal position that requires travel with overtime through peak season, reports to the Foreman, and has no supervisory responsibility.

Annual Safety Incentive Essential Duties and Functions:

Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects
Perform a variety of tasks on the mine site
Operate tools and equipment as needed
Complete pre and post-shift inspections on equipment as needed
Assist in the field (i.
e.
moving equipment, shoveling, cleaning sites, and other miscellaneous jobs as needed)
Lift heavy objects, tear down, maintain, repair, and clean equipment
Ability to operate a skid steer
Keep the crusher and other associated areas clean and organized
Operate crusher machinery by operating a computerized control panel
Works inside the enclosed booth to oversee and look down upon the machinery and crushing process
Troubleshoot and communicate problems with the ground crew
Assist with machine maintenance, repairs, unplug, shoveling off conveyors/screens, repairing conveyor problems, and grease-moving machine parts
Perform crusher machinery set up and take down, which includes running cables and hoses, setting up blocks, tarping, shoveling aggregate, etc.

Interact with department heads at Corporate Office to ensure proper reporting of payroll hours, staffing changes, crew and equipment movements, production tonnages, mechanical breakdowns, and quality issues
Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work (i.
e.
work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours) Position Requirements:

Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test
Basic maintenance skills
MSHA Certification
Experience and knowledge of general construction, welding, and operating equipment
Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal Physical Requirements:
